The festival is an adventuous meeting-place for audience and artists as it aims at presenting new creations by both Flemish and international artists.

Krokusfestival has developed a special focus on dance, not only in presenting performances, but also because it functions as a kind of ‘engine’ for new creations. Sometimes these are made by young choreographers, but one of the guidelines of the festival is the invitation to choreographers normally working for adult audiences, to create for younger audiences: Etienne Guilloteau, Jonathan Burrows, Ultima Vez/Wim Vandekeybus, Thomas Devens, Anabel Schellekens.

New creations, challenging workshops, matserclasses, dance interventions throughout the building are combined with lots of inspiring professional exchange opportunities.
